Testive recently kicked off a program with Boston-based Catholic Memorial High School, a school known for diversity and athletics.
Michael Schell, Director of College Counseling at Catholic Memorial, is motivated to see Catholic Memorial’s average SAT test scores rank among the elite in the Greater Boston area, and with the NEW SAT on the horizon, this is the perfect time for a collaboration.
Catholic Memorial’s SAT prep program leverages Testive’s blend of software and human accountability, but is structured in a way that makes it feasible for 140 Juniors to make it work. Under the program, students will have unlimited use of Testive's SAT / ACT software, with access to thousands of practice questions, solution videos, lesson plans, and analytics.
Catholic Memorial will be providing structured class time throughout the week for students to use Testive software and help ensure compliance, but students have the ability to do their work on their own schedules as well.
Behind the scenes, Testive coaches will be assigned to groups of Catholic Memorial students. These coaches will assign weekly curriculum specific to each students' weaknesses in their prep programs.
A detailed Counselor Administrator portal will be provided to Schell and his colleagues, so that they have the ability to analyze group-level analytics and measure student engagement. We know from experience that accountability is more than half the battle. If the students do the work, they should see results!
Schell had this to say about their new relationship with Testive, “Catholic Memorial is excited to partner with Testive in offering our students SAT & ACT test prep. From the quality of the coaches to the software to the passion and purpose of its leadership team, Testive is a great organization.”
