SophieWhat are your main duties and responsibilities at Testive?

I’m a Testive coach and part of our learning team, so I feel like I live a double life. On the one hand, I’m busy meeting with students and helping them reach their SAT/ACT goals, on the other hand, I’m working on developing content for the website (some may know me as “the lady in the videos”) and collaborating with everyone at Testive to provide the best student experience possible.

What’s your favorite part about working at Testive?

It may sound weird, but my favorite part about working here is probably that I don’t have a favorite. In other words, I love every part of my job, whether it’s bonding with my students, learning new skills from everyone on our talented team, or playing Catan with my co-workers here on a Friday afternoon after a hard week of work.

When you’re not working, what do you like to do?

When I’m not working, I love to stay active. I ran the Boston Marathon last year and still run every day, but I’ve recently taken up rock climbing. It’s really humbling when you realize how challenging it is and it’s not a pretty habit for the hands, but it’s definitely helped me get over my fear of heights. Aside from that, I love biking, yoga, coffee, and library books.

What’s your favorite food?

I could wax poetic about something fancy or exotic, but everyone at Testive knows about my unhealthy obsession with eating crackers for most meals, particularly the Ritz-style ones from Trader Joe’s.

What’s your favorite movie and why?

It’s a toss up between Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Ace Ventura: Pet Detective. I seem to like movies with Jim Carrey in them.

Are you a cat or a dog person?

I love Internet cats, but I get along better with dogs in person.

Mac or PC?

“Mac,” she typed from her rapidly deteriorating Apple computer.
