Hi! My name is Ally Steward.
I’m a Student Success Advisor at Testive and your resident expert for all things college admissions. In this series, I will be summarizing key information regarding one college or university to give you an idea of some things students may want to take into consideration when thinking about which schools to apply to.
Some of these schools might be on the very top of your student’s list, and some might not be on their radar at all. My goal is to provide you with key information to shine a light on a variety of institutions to help you and your student find the college that’s best for them.
This week, let’s take a look atUCLA!
Here’s how UCLA describes themselves:
We doubt the critics, reject the status quo and see opportunity in dissatisfaction. Our campus, faculty and students are driven by optimism. It is not naïve; it is essential. And it has fueled every accomplishment, allowing us to redefine what’s possible, time after time.
This can-do perspective has brought us 13 Nobel Prizes, 12 MacArthur Fellows, more NCAA titles than any university and more Olympic medals than most nations. Our faculty and alumni helped create the Internet and pioneered reverse osmosis. And more than 140 companies have been created based on technology developed at UCLA.”
